In the Pinball Machine
Do you ever have one of those days that you think is going to be fairly calm and easy, like a big rubber ball rolling down a gentle, grassy slope, and then all of sudden it escalates to pinball status, with you as the little silver ball bouncing to and fro (complete with that annoying little "ping", "ping" sound every time you bounce off of some angular obstacle into a new direction)?
Well, I've never had one of those days. No, no, just kidding - of course I do, and am having one today. So, even if I had any deep thoughts or hugely entertaining stories to tell here, I just don't have the time to do so. Because the oven timer just went off, and I have to still have to cut up strawberries, and then leave to pick up Jericho in ten minutes, and then off to french horn lessons...
